The Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons are set to tip off Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series at Little Caesars Arena! I'll be live updating this page throughout the game. Please comment with your thoughts throughout.

The Cavs have a clean injury report, while Duncan Robinson is out for the Pistons. Caris LeVert and Kevin Huerter are both active, and it's the latter's first game this series.

FIRST QUARTER

Man, Daniss Jenkins came out on a mission. He's got seven points in five minutes. Cavs have turned it over four times, and it's cost them six points. Cleveland has also turned over Detroit three times, but it's amounted to just two.

I like how Evan Mobley leaked on the last Cavs' stop and got an easy slam on the break. Can't send everybody to crash the glass.

If the Cavs can commit to a fastbreak after a steal or a stop, they can make it hurt. Good, good minutes between Dennis Schroder and James Harden setting up the guys. Couple corner treys for Max Strus and Sam Merrill, and pocket touches for Jarrett Allen. It's 21-19 Cleveland with 2:55 left in the first.

Eleven combined turnovers in the first quarter, which was fast-paced and "prettier." Problem is: Pistons have made Cavs pay for theirs, while Cleveland has not. Detroit up 29-27.

END 1Q: Pistons 29, Cavs 27

CLE: Strus 6p, 2r, blk. Harden 4p, 3a, 1r, blk, stl. Allen 5p, 1r, blk, stl. Mitchell 4p, 3r.

DET: Cunningham 10p, 1r, 1a. Jenkins 7p. Stewart 6p.

SECOND QUARTER

Jaylon Tyson with a good, aggressive drive to the paint, but it was defended well by Tobias Harris. He tried to get the board back, but got tied up with Isaiah Stewart. After it was ruled a jumpball, JT hit Stew in the chest and got T'd up. It's under review.

Tyson stays in the game, no extra penalty.

Pistons on a 14-5 run. Cade Cunningham's been aggressive, but even when he just took a seat, Tobias Harris is moving bodies on the deck. Marcus Sasser's given Detroit some good run here as well. Cavs trailing 43-32 a little over three minutes into the second.

Ausar Thompson is playing the connector role well tonight. He's got no fouls, which helps him get a rhythm. Still having some ball control issues, but comfortable at home.

The Schroder-Harden lineup with Strus, Wade, and Allen has been working like a charm tonight. The playmaking and spread floor is doing the job for the Cavs. Less than five minutes until halftime with the Pistons up 47-40.

The Pistons have 20 points off 10 Cavs' turnovers. That's pretty much the summation of the first half.

Max Strus has been the saving grace for the Cavs off the bench, with a game-high four threes. Pistons up eight heading into halftime, as Cleveland is racking up the giveaways.

HALF: Pistons 60, Cavs 52

CLE: Harden 13p, 3a, 2r, blk, stl. Strus 12p, 3r, blk. Allen 8p, 4r, blk. Mitchell 8p, 3r, 1a. Mobley 5p, 4a, 2r.

DET: Cunningham 20p, 4a, 1r, stl. Harris 10p, 3r, 1a. Jenkins 9p, 1a, blk, stl. LeVert 7p, 1r, 1a, stl. Thompson 4p, 5r, 5a, 4 stl.

THIRD QUARTER

James Harden is thriving off-ball. Giving it up to get it back. Cavs trim the Pistons' lead to 66-64. Pairing him with Schroder, Strus, Wade, and Allen has gotten results.

Cavs in the bonus with 6:25 left in the third. Pistons will be the next Cleveland foul.

Dean Wade has been big time on the boards tonight.

Lot of foul talk lately in this series. Pistons have committed 17 to the Cavs' 9. Cleveland also has 23 free-throw attempts to Detroit's 13.

Evan Mobley's reads and pass delivery have been exceptional. He's just got to be more aware of the surroundings and be stronger with the rock.

Nervous energy in the building after the Cavs close the third strong. They've retaken the lead and it's 84-80 going into the final frame. Evan Mobley's last sequences were solid, but wild man Max Strus has been massive.

END 3Q: Cavs 84, Pistons 80

CLE: Harden 22p, 3r, 3a, blk, stl. Strus 17p, 7r, blk. Allen 14p, 6r, 1a, stl. Mobley 10p, 7a, 4r, blk. Mitchell 10p, 3r, 2a.

DET: Cunningham 29p, 6a, 4r, blk, stl. Harris 10p, 3r, 1a, blk, stl. Jenkins 11p, 1a, blk, stl. Duren 9p, 5r, 4a, stl.

FOURTH QUARTER

BBall Paul has entered the game.

James Harden has gotten a friendly road whistle tonight, call it what it is. He's played well, but probably should have four or five fewer free throws.

Nothing drives me up a wall more with these Cavs than unnecessary cross-court passes and trying to fit feeds into a non-existent window.

These are self-inflicted Cavs wounds, but the Pistons defense is making them THINK because Cleveland had only turned it over three times before bleeding on consecutive possessions. Detroit up 95-89 with 5:25 remaining.

Max Strus trying to keep the Cavs in striking distance with all of his power. Just some crucial threes and saving the ball and stuff that doesn't show in the box. Huge possession coming up here with the Pistons up 100-94 and 3:29 left.

It's been a tough go for Don but the lay-in followed by a save-assist to Mobley for that dunk was critical. Ev knocked down a BIG trey at the top of the perimeter confidently, then drew a foul and knocked in two free throws. Cavs tied it up at 103. There's 45.2 seconds left.

Pistons strip Donovan Mitchell and Ausar Thompson got tangled up with Jarrett Allen, but nothing was called. Overtime in Detroit at 103 all.

OVERTIME

Cavs start overtime with a thunderous Jarrett Allen putback and a Donovan Mitchell high-glass floater. Pistons look TIRED. Tip-in and close looks are rolling off the rim. It's 107-103 with 3:14 remaining.

Cavs have had every opportunity to slam the door shut but mental lapses are keeping them from doing so. The fight is there, and the want is there, but the mind is not.

Cade Cunningham curls and hits a long two off the inbound. Cavs up 113-111 with 25.9 left in OT.
