The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, closed out this week.

The U.S. walked out of the Winter Olympics with 12 gold medals and the second-most medals among the countries competing in the event (33). Among those gold medals were the men's and women's hockey teams, who both stood tall at the conclusion of the respective tournaments.

Among the players competing for the men's and women's U.S. teams were Charlie McAvoy and Jeremy Swayman of the NHL's Boston Bruins and Aerin Frankel, Megan Keller and Haley Winn of the PWHL's Boston Fleet.

All those players received a shoutout from the Boston Celtics in a post on "X."
