The NBA was a much different place 46 years ago.

December 20, 1979: The Clippers-Knicks game is delayed 53 minutes while workers (and Clippers coach Gene Shue) attempt to clean up 50+ pies that were thrown at sportscaster Ted Leitner during halftime.

Red Holzman filed a protest for the delay & condition of the playing surface.
