Ja Morant was asked Friday whether he can be happy in Memphis as the team pivots to a younger roster, and his answer was pretty direct: "Why can't I be? I've been happy this whole time." He also acknowledged the uncertainty, saying reporters probably know more than he does given everything that's been reported this season.

It's a complicated situation. His name was in trade talks all the way up to the deadline, Jackson and Bane are gone, and Kleiman is openly talking about building around guys like Cedric Coward, Zach Edey, and Jaylen Wells. Morant has two years left on his deal, so this question isn't going away anytime soon.

Do you think the Grizzlies should commit to building around Morant, or is this the right time to move on?
