The Grizzlies tied it up late in the third quarter against the Mavericks, but were unable to close it out. With 11 players ruled out, Memphis only dressed eight and lost 120-112. 

Jaylen Wells, GG Jackson, Javon Small, and Taylor Hendricks each were solid offensively. Those are the main players who need to show developmental progress. Collectively, the Grizzlies can improve defensively after giving up 120 to a Mavericks team that has struggled to score since the All-Star break.
