Atlanta may have swept New Orleans over the weekend — the Hawks on Saturday and the Falcons on Sunday — but the most surprising twist came from Pelicans rookie Derik Queen.

After the Falcons posted “Marked safe from Derik Queen” following Ruke Orhorhoro’s late sack of the Saints, Queen jumped on X and responded by posting the date of the next Hawks–Pelicans matchup: Jan. 7.

He even acknowledged the draft-night trade that sent Atlanta’s No. 13 pick (used to select him) to New Orleans.

The rookie had 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals in Saturday’s game, marking his third straight 20-point outing — the first Pelican to do that since Zion.

So now the question:

Did the Falcons just spark a little extra heat for Hawks–Pelicans in January?
