Eleven straight wins. The Atlanta Hawks have not been on a run like this since 2014-15, and that team won 19 in a row and finished 60-22.
Wednesday night in Dallas was another dominant performance. CJ McCollum had 24, Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 22 for his 38th straight double-digit game, and Jalen Johnson was one assist shy of a triple-double. The Hawks led wire to wire and won 135-120.
Then Jonathan Kuminga threw in a 74-foot buzzer-beater to end the third quarter. Just to make it interesting.
At 38-31, Atlanta is right in the thick of the play-in race and playing its best basketball of the season. Dyson Daniels leads the NBA with 42 games of 2+ steals. The offensive rebounding has been relentless. This team looks nothing like the group that was playing .500 ball a month ago.
So where do you think this run ends — and has it changed what you think this team is capable of in the postseason?
