Hawks fall flat at home after Boston win — what stood out to you?
After the emotional road win in Boston, the Hawks came back home short-handed and couldn’t find the same juice, falling 104–86 to the Rockets. Atlanta was right there at halftime, but the second half turned quickly as Houston controlled the glass, dictated tempo and stretched the lead out of reach.
C.J. McCollum led the way with 23 points off the bench, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Corey Kispert tried to keep things afloat offensively. Still, missing Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu showed up more as the night went on, especially on the defensive end and in finishing possessions.
Christian Koloko’s breakaway dunk late was one of the few moments that gave the building some energy, but it wasn’t enough to swing momentum back.
Was this mostly about fatigue on the second night of a back-to-back, or did the injuries expose bigger issues that need to be addressed? What adjustments would you like to see heading into Indiana on Saturday?
