The Hawks went into Madison Square Garden shorthanded and walked out with one of their most complete wins of the season.

No Trae Young. A 26-point lead. And a third-quarter takeover that completely flipped the game. Jalen Johnson posted another triple-double, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Onyeka Okongwu carried the scoring load, and Atlanta built just enough separation to survive a late Knicks push.

New York made it interesting in the fourth, but timely shots and defensive stops sealed it. It was also the Hawks’ first back-to-back wins since late November — and it came on the road, in a tough environment.
