Jonathan Kuminga is expected to make his Hawks debut Tuesday vs. Washington after being upgraded to questionable.

The bigger question isn’t just what he does on the floor — it’s what his arrival means for the rotation.

Atlanta is clearly in a different phase now, and Kuminga, at 23, represents upside and long-term runway. If he’s going to get real developmental minutes, those reps have to come from somewhere. So who loses time?

Does he immediately step into a 25+ minute role? Does that cut into wing minutes? Does it impact smaller lineups? Could it shift who closes games?

Kuminga’s skill set — rim pressure, athleticism, size on the wing — suggests Atlanta didn’t acquire him to park him at the end of the bench.

If he’s part of the core moving forward, the rotation likely changes sooner rather than later. What do you think happens? Who sees their minutes dip once Kuminga is fully integrated?
