March 1 is NBA buyout day, when contracts can either be bought out or players can be waived. 

DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook are two names to watch here. Signs are pointing toward the former likely to be impacted, per Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints. 

"If he wants a buyout, he will need to be the one to initiate such conversations," Siegel said involving DeRozan. 

Sacramento, though, has welcomed DeRozan's leadership and scoring presence -- which could signal talks of sticking around by Sunday.
