Former Dallas Mavericks coach and 2011 NBA Champion Rick Carlisle reached 1,000 career wins as an NBA head coach Thursday as his Indiana Pacers snapped a big losing streak with a win over the Hornets.

Carlisle, with 555 victories in Dallas, is the winningest coach in Mavericks history after his 13 seasons with the team, highlighted by him being the visionary for the only NBA Championship roster in franchise history.

He has led the Pacers on two separate stints (2003-2007, 2021-Present) along with his two-year title in Detroit from 2001-03 to begin his head coaching career.

Carlisle has exactly 100 wins with the Pistons and now 345 with the Pacers, who are 7-31 on the year.
