Prior to their meeting against the 9-32 New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night, the Brooklyn Nets were hit with an unfortunate injury update concerning 3-and-D wing Ziaire Williams.
It was revealed on Tuesday night by New York Daily News' C.J. Holmes that the ex-Memphis Grizzlies forward would miss the contest due to an illness, taking away a fair portion of the Nets' defensive versatility.
While he's not putting forth eye-popping box score efforts, Williams' defensive effort and persistence has been heavily valued by a Nets group ranking No. 5 in the NBA with a 110.7 defensive rating over their past 15 games.
