The Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors have been linked together in trade dialogue since this past summer, but it appears that an actual deal has never come closer to materializing than it has over the past few weeks.

Both franchises have valuable assets that are enticing to the other, as a Michael Porter Jr.-Jonathan Kuminga swap makes all the sense in the world for both sides as they navigate completely different timelines prior to the Feb. 5 trade deadline.

According to a recent video posted to X by NBA salary cap analyst Yossi Gozlan on Tuesday morning, the idea of the two talents being exchanged also makes sense from a financial perspective, as the Warriors would only need to throw in the salaries of Moses Moody and Buddy Hield to get the job done, making for a somewhat simple concept.
