As the Pistons publisher, I'm always keeping an eye on the other good teams in the East and right now Denver is taking it to them. With almost half of the 4th quarter gone, Denver is up 17 and pulling away.
Key contributions from guys like Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jonas Valančiūnas off the bench have pushed the Nuggets out in front, especially during the third quarter.
The Joker is pretty much doing his thing with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists, but he does look a little off. He's been dealing with a banged up knee and wrist, but still, he's getting it done.
It's a good thing Denver is getting good minutes from bench guys because Jamal Murray tried to give it a go, but missed the final three quarters with an illness.
All in all, Denver is looking tough but are only a half game ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves and a game and a half ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers. Obviously staying in the top four for the playoffs is key, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
