I think the Pels have this one in the bag! They damn near beat the Rockets the other night.

Big test tonight against the Mavs- we’ll see if last night’s win carries any momentum.

Dallas has only 2 wins themselves, and they’ve also had a relatively lighter schedule to start the season than the Pelicans. Nov 5, 2025

Huge win for the Pels last night. Outlasting the Hornets in the final minutes showed that New Orleans resilience.

The Hornets gave it up late, but the bench is really stepping up- 62 points combined. Nov 5, 2025

Hornets' LeMelo is still day-to-day with ankle injury. Will the Pelicans have an edge if he's on the sidelines?

Could the Pelicans snag their first win of the season if the Hornets are missing their star guard?Nov 3, 2025

So far, the Pelicans are actually worse off with Zion on the court. Check out these numbers from Cleaning the Glass.

Per Cleaning the Glass, early numbers are saying the Pelicans are +23.5 points per 100 possessions BETTER when Zion is OFF the court this season.  Small sample size, sure - but that's the 95th percentile the wrong way.. The offense just looks freer without him.  Check out the other seasons' numbers, too. Even in 2022-23 when he was mostly healthy, the Pelicans were practically neutral with or without him on the floor.  Oct 31, 2025

Sportico ranked the Pels at 29th most valuable teams... oof.

Wild that a playoff-caliber team is still raking second to last. At least they didn't put them  dead last this time...Oct 17, 2025

Let's see what happens with Zion & Looney up against Durant and Sengun.. Hope they can pull this off.

I wonder how the Rockets are planning to stop Zion. He's for sure going to be their biggest hurdle!Oct 14, 2025
