This season, the Motor City Cruise have been home to a number of standout G-League performances, and another impressive showing was added to the list last night. Isaac Jones, who was brought in a couple months ago after leaving the Kings, just had his most impressive showing in Motown so far.
Squaring off against the Long Island Nets, Jones was dominant on both ends of the court with 32 points, 15 rebounds and a startling seven (!) blocks on the night. When the Cruise needed a bucket or a stop last night, Jones was the man for the job.
Though he hasn't had much of an opportunity with the Pistons, it is good to know that Detroit could rely on Jones as a stopgap to fill a 10-15 minute role if need be.
