Earlier in the week, Pistons Roundtable reported that the entire Detroit coaching staff would take part in the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, and that contingent of coaching minds added some more experience in Jamelle McMillan.

This season, the Cruise are 11-10 on the year, sitting in 9th place of the Eastern Conference, but the Motor City squad has stood as a proving grounds for a handful of talented hoopers. Jaden Akins has put together an incredibly impressive rookie campaign down in the G-League, Tolu Smith and Isaac Jones have both refined their post work and Chaz Lanier dropped a casual 40-point performance in his first game with the Cruise. So, McMillan has played an important role in player development over the course of the 2025-26 season.

Shoutout to coach McMillan for all the work he's put in this year!
