It may have taken over half the season, but the Detroit Pistons have made a believer out of Stephen A. Smith. Over the years, the boisterous media personality has made his love for the New York Knicks well known, so it's no surprise that the Pistons are threatening space in the Eastern Conference that the Knicks already carved out for themselves.

In first place of the Eastern Conference, the Pistons just picked up their largest victory in FRANCHISE HISTORY last night with a 53-point beatdown of the Brooklyn Nets. Detroit has stood in 1st place of the East for about three months now, and Stephen A. Smith finally admitted what the rest of the NBA already knows-- the Pistons are not playing any games.

The Pistons have not forgotten about their hard-fought first round playoff loss to the Knicks last season, and they're out for blood. When the two squads faced off in January, the Pistons administered a business-like 31-point beatdown of the Knicks and Stephen A. Smith is officially sounding the alarm of legitimacy for Detroit.

Have the Pistons already established a clear separation between themselves and the Knicks in the East?
