With an up close and personal look at Cade Cunningham's 42-point scoring exhibition at MSG last night, former NBA player and Duke star Jay Williams confirmed that he's buying all the Cade stock that he can get his hands on.
Williams even went on to draw a couple comparisons after watching Cunningham put the Detroit Pistons on his back throughout a tough road game, one that the New York squad desperately wanted to win.
The main buzz after Cade's 42-point night is that he should be squarely in the MVP conversation, but Pistons Roundtable has covered that possibility all season long. So, let's switch up the conversation a little bit. The key to Cunningham's game last night was his outside shot. If Cade can increase his three-point shooting to the 36/37% level for the rest of the season, he'll be averaging just about 30 points per game.
If that happens, how could anyone deserve the MVP over Cade? Assuming the Pistons stay in first place, of course.
