Last night, the Pistons dominated the Knicks bell to whistle in what was a 38-point win in front of the Detroit crowd. Those in attendance at LCA gave a special pop in the 4th quarter when Huerter walked to the scores table before checking into the blowout contest.

After a scoreless six-minute debut the night before, Huerter had an extended opportunity to find a rhythm with his new teammates and he looked sharp with 8 points on 4-for-6 FGs with a nice alley-oop lay up to jump onto the scoresheet for the first time.

Now in his eighth season, Huerter has worked to develop some crafty off-ball movement that he showed flashes off last night against the Knicks. As a noted shooter from the perimeter, Huerter knows how to operate in the half spaces and can help the Pistons space the floor better on offense.

While some may harp on Huerter's career-low 31% shooting rate from long-range this season, that is an aberration in the Maryland product's career and should swiftly rebound now that he's in Detroit with Cade Cunningham setting him up for shots. Huerter has not played alongside a high-level creator since his days in Atlanta next to Trae Young five season ago.
