On Saturday, Luka Doncic picked up his 16th technical foul of the season when the Lakers star was caught in a verbal battle with Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze. Doncic made headlines with his explanation of the technical after the game, and naturally Bitadze refuted the account that Luka offered.

But despite their inability to reach a consensus on who started the trash talk, the Lakers are set to face the Detroit Pistons on Monday, which is the game that Doncic is currently suspended for. The Lakers have reportedly filed an appeal to have the technical rescinded after the fact, but the result of LA's attempt remains to be seen.
