Over the weekend, two individuals with longstanding ties to the Detroit Pistons wound up in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Pistons Roundtable posted about announcer George Blaha's induction on Saturday, but he was not the only notable Detroit character to receive basketball's top honor.
Tayshaun Prince, who was a key small forward during the Pistons 2004 NBA Championship victory, was a member of Team USA Basketball for the 2008 Olympics. That year, Team USA had a ton of pressure on its shoulders after the squad's disappointing bronze medal performance.
With Prince and others in tow, the Redeem Team was able to go undefeated during the entire stretch with an 8-0 record and an impressive 118-107 win over Spain in the finals sealed the gold medal for Team USA.
What is your favorite memory of Prince while wearing the Detroit uniform? For me, it's impossible to top his come-from-behind block on Reggie Miller's breakaway in the 2004 Eastern Conference Finals. It was simply an iconic moment from the ever-reliable Prince.
