Spurs Are Southwest Division Champs!

The San Antonio Spurs needed to beat the Heat and Houston to lose at Chicago to secure the division title.

The Spurs snuffed out the Heat tonight, leading by double digits for most of the second half. Wembanyama had 26pts/15reb/4a/5blk to continue the WEMVP campaign.

Houston dropped their game to the lowly Bulls.

And the Spurs are division title winners for the first time since the 2016-2017 season.

This team’s ball movement reminds me of 2014’s beautiful game (maybe missing a 2026 version of Boris Diaw).

This Spurs team looks as complete as I can remember since 2014 and the energy in the city has been revived. “Going honking on Commerce” has even returned.

With Fiesta coming up and the Spurs being back in the playoffs, San Antonio will be a special place to celebrate.

1604 to 410, Denver Heights to Castle Hills, from Marbach to Blanco and Southtown to Terrell Hills, San Antonio is ready for the Race For Seis!
