Shai Gilgeous-Alexander joins European soccer team ownership group

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made some non-basketball news while staying busy on top of preseason hoops by recently joining the ownership group of Atlético de Madrid.

SGA and the club announced via Atlético de Madrid's official Twitter account that the NBA's reigning back-to-back MVP and OKC's franchise player would be joining the Rojiblanca family.

We know Shai has an affinity for soccer, with his wife, Hailey Summers, formerly playing the sport at Albany University, but this is a whole other level for the Gilgeous-Alexander family as they join this club's ownership group.
