Chet Holmgren praises Cason Wallace's unique and high level defensive talents

Cason Wallace came into the NBA as a ready-made defender capable of guarding the best players in the world from the jump, but this year, we have seen him take a leap in generating steals, as he currently leads the league at 2.2 a night.

I asked Chet Holmgren about what it is like to play and practice against a guy as talented defensively as Caso.

"There's a lot of people in this league that have like unteachable talents, and the way he is able to kind of move his feet and stop on a dime. You know, we see all the time on the offensive end when guys are able to stop on a dime and cut and change directions, but he has a special ability to do that on the other end, and you pair that with really quick hands, great anticipation, and a competitive spirit. And someone who takes pride in getting steals and playing defense, that's kinda what you get. Caso is a hell of a player, and I'm happy he's on our team and not the other team."
