Something was a bit off tonight when the Thunder went through their routine starting lineup announcements.

"At guard, 7'1 from Gonzaga, Chet Holmgren!"

Chet looked totally surprised, stopping dead in his tracks to make sure it was his turn to run down the tunnel, and then, when he got confirmation, he ran with a huge smile on his face.

After OKC's win over the Knicks, I asked Chet about what happened and if he had ever started a game at guard before.

“Yeah, it's been a while. I thought when they said at guard I was gonna get to come down the tunnel last and Shai was gonna go, but then they said my name and I was almost even more happy about that, “And it makes sense. You (Jdub) had KAT tonight, so he was the 5. Hart played the 4. I guess Anunoby’s the 2. So I guess I played the 2 tonight. I mean, we're 1-0 with me at guard, so they should keep that going.”
