What Coach Finch wants to see more from LaMelo Ball

Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch wants to see more from LaMelo Ball next season: "We really want [Ball] to focus on having a finishing plan, and embracing the contact that comes with finishing [at the rim] a little bit more. He’s got the size to do it. And early returns have been great. He’s really been putting the work in, in and around the basket. I just think his deep-paint decision-making, for that piece, needs to be a little more selfish."Sep 22, 2026

A look at how Anthony Edwards will be as a defender

If you're wondering what Anthony Edwards' role on defense is going to be next season, here's from Chris Finch himself..   "I think we are going to need him to get back to being a more high-leverage defender for us. His on-ball handling duties [on offense] will be reduced, which was probably the most taxing thing for him last year. I also feel that for him to have an MVP season, he has to have more of a defensive component."   Sep 14, 2026
