Will Reichard just keeps proving why he’s one of the best to ever do it. The former Alabama kicker, now with the Minnesota Vikings, drilled a 59-yard field goal today at Soldier Field—tying the longest kick ever made in that stadium’s history.
For Alabama fans, this comes as no surprise. When Reichard left Tuscaloosa, he was missed. He still is. He is not only the all-time leading scorer in college football history, but, he was hands down, one of the best kickers to ever put on an Alabama uniform. Reichard had the ability to always be clutch, and dependable. Regardless if it was in the Iron Bowl or National Championship game, he rarely missed when it mattered most.
Reichard left his mark Tuscaloosa making 84/101 FG attempts (10 of which were 50+ yarders) and making 295/297 PAT attempts.
Drafted by the Vikings in 2014, Reichard has already made a BIG name for himself in the NFL with his range and accuracy. In his rookie season, he nailed multiple 50-plus yarders, and has become reliable for the Vikings just like he was the Crimson Tide.
Way to go, Will!
Roll Tide!
