
By decree of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Tallahassee International Airport will be renamed Bobby Bowden International Airport, in honor of the legendary Florida State football coach.
Bowden patrolled the sidelines in Tallahassee for 34 seasons and amassed 346 career wins and won two national championships. He was named national coach of the year six times. Among the many college football stars he coached were Ron Simmons, Deion Sanders, Warrick Dunn, Corey Simon, Derrick Brooks, and Peter Warrick.
