The Seattle Seahawks have parted ways with running back Cam Akers, officially released Monday.

Akers managed to land on the final 53-man roster for Super Bowl LIX for the 'Hawks, winning his second Super Bowl ring in the process.

But the RB has endured trouble sticking around teams. He got traded by the Los Angeles Rams in 2023 to the Minnesota Vikings. Akers also had a mysterious absence from Rams practices during 2022 amid reports of feeling disgruntled in his role with the team.

He also had a stop with the Houston Texans before joining Seattle.

Akers played 2017 to 2019 at FSU, totaling 2,874 yards and 27 career touchdowns. He posted two 1,000-yard seasons before leaving early for the 2020 NFL Draft.
