I stepped away from this site for a bit thinking I’d come back with something positive to say about this Jayhawk team. Instead, I’m looking at a roster that’s painfully average, with a couple of fluke moments pretending to be progress. This isn’t a contender it’s a team surviving on reputation.

And don’t even get me started on the Darryn Peterson hype. I honestly don’t know what games some of you are watching. He looks like a classic stat-padder loud when he’s playing overmatched competition, invisible the second he runs into a real blue-chip player. When the lights get bright, he checks himself out. When the matchup gets tough, the bravado disappears.

That’s not a cornerstone. That’s a mirage.
