1st Quarter
- Tigers will start with the ball. Commodores get it after half.
- The Kyle Parker breakout continues as Garrett Nussmeier finds him for a tough first down catch.
- Caden Durham limps off. That will be something to monitor. Harlem Berry gets off to a nice start with a first-down run on the next play.
- LSU forced to burn an early timeout on 3rd and 13. Nashville is getting loud.
- Damian Ramos drills a 48-yard field goal. Tigers lead 3-0.
- Third down defense is killing LSU early. Vanderbilt is already 2-for-2 for 33 yards on third downs. Early defense looks good, though.
- Diego Pavia finds a hole on 2nd and 15 and his run ends in a touchdown, but it is likely to get brought back to the one-yard line.
- Pavia sneaks into the endzone after an offsides penalty. Commodores lead 7-3.
- Brutal holding call brings back a huge gain by Ju'Juan Johnson.
- Nussmeier finds Barion Brown for a 16-yard gain on 1st and 10. Tyree Adams is down after the play, though, which could be a massive loss.
- Berry has 32 yards on five carries and has looked like he has hit an extra gear today. Welcome to the SEC, five-star.
2nd Quarter
- The second quarter starts off with a BANG as Nussmeier finds Trey'Dez Green off his back foot and Green took it the rest of the way for a 24-yard touchdown. LSU leads 10-7.
- The Commodores have been taking a death by a thousand paper cuts approach on this drive.
- After the Tigers defense stuffs Vanderbilt a couple of times on the goal line, Sedrick Alexander finds the end zone on fourth and goal from the one. Commodores lead 14-10.
- That was a monster drive that took 8:58 off the clock.
- Ramos misses a 52-yard field goal and Vanderbilt could make this game look a little ugly with a score on the next drive.
- A MASSIVE fourth-down stop by West Weeks gets LSU the ball back with under two minutes to go.
- The Tigers can't get more than one first down, but Ramos makes up for his miss with a 42-yard field goal. Commodores still lead 14-13.
- Vanderbilt will rush to get into field goal range, a 25-yard gain will help that out. Near midfield with 30 seconds left.
- Commodores find another chunk gain and are on the edge of field goal range.
- Pavia picks up nine and it will now be a much easier field goal.
- The 46-yard attempt goes right down the middle. Vanderbilt leads 17-13 heading into the half.
3rd Quarter
- MK Young is the Commodores home run hitter and he almost broke one there. 28 yards has Vanderbilt in the red zone.
- This has been a pretty poor game from Harold Perkins today. Doesn't look like himself and it has hurt badly with Whit Weeks out.
- Pavia finds Cole Spence wide open in the end zone for a touchdown. LSU defense has had their worst game of the season. Commodores leads 24-13.
- One of the best offensive plays we have seen in weeks could not have come at a better time. Good job by Nussmeier to keep the play alive and find Zavion Thomas who broke a tackle and showed off his return background. Two-point is successful. Vanderbilt lead down to 24-21.
- Pavia keeps the play alive just long enough on fourth and one, finds Young for a 10-yard gain.
- Pavia breaks off another big run, this time 21 yards for a score. Commodores push their lead back out to two scores, 31-21.
- Durham finally breaks off a big one, goes 51 yards down to the Vanderbilt two-yard line.
4th Quarter
- Tigers get held up at the goal lone. Settle for another Ramos field goal. Commodores lead 31-24.
- LSU defense helped out by a holding penalty, but finally forces a punt. They get the ball bakc with just under nine minutes left down 7.
