There comes a time in an LSU Tigers superstar's career when they man center field. That has come for phenom Derek Curiel, who is heading into his sophomore campaign.

Kendall Rogers broke the news on Tuesday that Curiel would be making a shift to center and Chris Stanfield would be heading to left. This already should give LSU one of the best defenses in the nation.

Curiel, a Freshman All-American, will continue his ascension up the sport. He slashed .345/.470/.519 last year. If he can keep that up while playing a solid center field, he'll earn many more accolades.
