Per Tony Garcia of the Detroit Free Press Michigan football's Taylor Tatum, who transferred in from Oklahoma and was the No. 1 RB in the Class of 2024, will begin his career in Ann Arbor in the safeties room. Tatum says that he is starting off at defense but has the potential to get into the offense as well.

This may come as a shock to some as he was such a highly touted RB recruit just two years ago. The coaches must see a need, and a great fit for him at defense.
