We've come to the point in the offseason where the takes start getting more irrational and revisionist history is taking hold of several fanbases and conferences across college football. It was a loaded slate for us this afternoon at Irish Breakdown. We talk about the Notre Dame/ACC relationship that got extremely rocky due to the anti-smear campaign towards the end of the regular season. We also talk about the Notre Dame-USC rivalry and the administrations on both sides reengaging in conversation. We also discussed the incessant whining coming from the SEC this offseason.

One of college football's most historic and iconic rivalries came to an end earlier this offseason. Notre Dame and USC elected to end their rivalry this season due to several different factors but have decided to re-engage in conversations to renew the historic rivalry. Unfortunately, revisionist history from the media and fans out-west have clouded the recent happenings in the battle for the Jeweled Shillelagh.
