The NFL Scouting Combine released its list of invites and six former Notre Dame standouts earned an invitation.
Here is the list of former Irish standouts who earned the Combine invite:
RB Jeremiyah Love
RB Jadarian Price
WR Malachi Fields
TE Eli Raridon
OL Billy Schrauth
OL Aamil Wagner
All six of these players were expected to earn invites. Price and Love are likely going to be the first two running backs selected in the next NFL Draft, and both should be standouts at the Combine unless Love decides not to work out. Love will be the top back chosen, but a strong Combine performance could potentially move him further up the first round. Price has a chance to cement himself as the No. 2 back in the draft with a strong Combine performance.
Fields was a standout at the Senior Bowl, dominating throughout the week of practice. His stock is rising, and a strong Combine performance could jump him up even further. A recent NFL.com mock draft had him going in the second round. Schrauth was also in the second round of that Mock Draft. Testing well would benefit Schrauth, assuming he's healthy enough to work out after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the win over USC. If he can work out and test well it would benefit him, but the big key for Schrauth will likely be medical tests.
Raridon and Wagner will also get a chance to boost their stocks with strong Combine performances. Both reportedly performed well at the Shrine Bowl.
