Gabriel Osborne Jr. Picks Up Fifth Star

Oklahoma Sooners class of 2027 cornerback commit Gabriel Osborne Jr. has added a fifth star according to Rivals recruiting rankings as the recruiting website updated rankings Monday. 

At 6-2, 180 pounds, Osborne is a physically gifted cornerback who brings great athleticism and ball skills. His five-star ranking by Rivals matches the five-star ranking he holds from 247Sports. Osborne is ranked the 21st-best prospect in the class of 2027. 

In his first year at Mustang, he totaled 65 tackles, three for loss, two interceptions, one forced fumble, adn two fumble recoveries. He caught nine passes on offense for 233 yards and three touchdowns along with six carries and 84 yards. He broke onto the scene as a freshman at Putnam City with 46 tackles and two interceptions and then totled 43 tackles, four for loss, three interceptions, one force fumble, two fumble recoveries, and ten pass breakups as a sophomore in 2024 for the Pirates. 

Rivals released its latest Rivals300 rankings for the 2027 class following the summer of camps, circuits, and commitments. Osborne is one of five new five-star prospects for a total of 23 five-star recruits nationwide. The list will ultimately finish with 32 five-stars matching the number of first round picks in the annual NFL Draft.
