Sooner Legacy Earns Oklahoma Scholarship
Jax Wilkerson of Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert High School picked up an Oklahoma Sooners offer after attending the Brent Venables camp this past week.
The six-foot-seven, 295-pound prospect in the 2029 class is projected as an offensive tackle. He is the son of the late Jimmy Wilkerson, who had a storied career as a defensive end at the University of Oklahoma before spending nine years in the NFL with the Buccaneers, Chiefs, Saints, and Seahawks.
The younger Wilkerson camped at the University of Alabama earlier this week and earned an offer from Arizona State University in May. He holds offers from Iowa State, SMU, Utah, Missouri, Ole Miss, TCU, and Texas Tech. He was a 2025 Max Preps Freshman All-America first-team selection, the only Oklahoma native to earn such recognition.
