At this point in the season, where a College Football Playoff appearance is out the window, and even a bowl game is in question, is it time for Penn State to decide whether or not running an offensive scheme that features two different running backs is going to continue or not?

The Nittany Lions have featured an offense that makes use of both Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen since 2022, with both seeing almost the same number of rushing attempts while posting three combined 1,000-yard seasons.

However, Allen has seemingly jumped ahead of Singleton in production during the first half of the 2025 season, posting almost double the amount of rushing yards in the exact same number of rushing attempts through six games.

Is it time for the blue and white to move past a two-back scheme?
