Matt Park, the Voice of the Orange since 2004, has been honored by the National Sports Media Association as the New York Sportscaster of the Year.

Park does the radio calls for Syracuse football and basketball, and he also is the host of the radio shows of the team’s coaches – Fran Brown and Adrian Autry, respectively.

“Much deserved! More than just the voice of the Orange, but a great supporter & friend,” Brown posted on X on Monday.

Last fall, Park was named the 2025 recipient of the Marty Glickman Award for Leadership in Sports Media.

Park, a 1997 Syracuse alum, also is a professor in the Newhouse School of Public Communications. He is the emcee of a number of campus events, as well.

Previous winners of the New York award include prominent sportscasters such as Gary Cohen (Mets, SNY), Kenny Albert (Rangers/Knicks), Mike Breen (Knicks) and Ian Eagle (Nets).
