The Syracuse women's lacrosse team will face Virginia in the opening round of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Charlotte, N.C.
The Orange are the No. 4 seed; Virginia is No. 5.
The winner of that game will face the winner of the contest between No. 1 North Carolina and No. 8 Duke.
It should be a competitive tournament. All eight participating teams are ranked in the IWLCA Top 20.
An ACC team has won the national women's lacrosse title each of the past two years -- Boston College in 2024 and North Carolina in 2025.
