Is Nate Ament a lottery pick?

It is clear that 19-year old Vols Forward Nate Ament is still a long way out from having his full story written, yet the first few months of Ament's collegiate career have been a story of ups and downs.

On Tuesday night, Ament logged a career high 43 minutes, while tying his career high of 23 points in a double overtime victory over Texas A&M.

Ament has the frame and the skillset to reach heights like the NBA, as he's been scouted and mocked as one of the top picks in the next NBA Draft before the season began. Yet with every good performance comes one like his Arkansas game, where he shot 5-11 from the free throw line and 44% from the field.

Ament's last two games have been an encouraging stretch; the freshman had struggled against Power-Four opponents such as Houston, Illinois, Louisville, and Kansas. Ament, in his last two conference contests against Texas A&M and Florida, saw him drop 23 and 17 points, respectively.

If Ament can maintain this level, then the team is more likely than not to reap the benefits; now it's about consistency.
