Yeah, Joey McGuire is running rampant in the football transfer portal this week, but Texas Tech lured another high-profile commitment somewhere else: on the track.

Legendary head coach Wes Kittley has received a commitment from superstar sprint prospect Tate Taylor, who holds national records in the 100m (outdoor) and 200m (indoor) dashes at the high school ranks.

Taylor will get to campus next fall, but the defending Big 12 champs earn another bit of major recruiting news as the track & field season gets underway in the coming weeks.
