Coming off a comeback win this past Saturday against the University of Maryland, the University of Washington football team will return home for a Friday night showdown at Husky Stadium against Rutgers.
The Huskies are 4-1 on the campaign, with their only loss coming against No. 1 Ohio State. Washington is one of nine Big 10 teams to be ranked or receive votes in the latest AP Top 25 Poll. The Huskies are in the "receiving votes" category.
After hosting the Scarlet Knights, the Huskies will travel to the University of Michigan for a highly-anticipated matchup against the Wolverines on Oct. 18.
The game time was previously unknown, but we now know it will be at 12 p.m. ET and 9 a.m. PT. The game will air on FOX and will be part of Fox's "Big Noon Kickoff." It's also highly likely that the pregame show will be live from Ann Arbor, especially since Barstool Sports founder and "Big Noon" contributor Dave Portnoy is a Michigan product.
The game will be a rematch of the national championship game from the 2023 season. Washington lost that game to the Wolverines, and it served as the final Husky game for quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2024.
It was also the final game for then-head coach Kalen Deboer, who left to take the job at Alabama.
The Wolverines are currently ranked No. 15 in the nation, and they sit at 4-1 right now and 2-0 in Big 10 play. They will visit USC on Saturday night in a marquee showdown before returning home for the Huskies.
Michigan's only loss came on Sept. 6 against Oklahoma in Norman, OK.
