The San Francisco 49ers entered the draft with the makings of an NFC contender prior to the 2026 NFL draft. And while they made some good selections, those who follow the team are concerned that they did not maximize a great opportunity to get better in the draft.

The wide receiver position looks much better with Ole Miss wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling, but other draft picks leave something to be desired. Did the team do enough to be confident in its chances to contend for the NFC title in 2026?
