The San Francisco 49ers boasted the league’s 10th-ranked offense in 2025, putting up 25.7 points per game.

Yet behind the numbers, their offensive line showed clear vulnerabilities, particularly in protecting the quarterback.

San Francisco had only one player among the top 10 for lowest pressure allowed, while at the other extreme, left guard Spencer Burford struggled mightily.

Burford allowed pressure on 7.89% of his pass-blocking snaps, the worst rate of any starting left guard in the league.

His struggles highlight a weak spot that opposing defenses could exploit, even with quick passes and efficient quarterbacks.

Addressing these struggles could be the difference between a good offense and an elite one next season.
