The San Francisco 49ers are trending as one of the NFL's top teams. USA TODAY's Nate Davis ranks them No. 4 in the NFL in his latest power ranking. He wrote the following:

"Considering they haven't needed (punter) Thomas Morstead this month, who needs to worry about whatever their defensive issues are? The Niners are two wins from securing the No. 1 seed, which launched them into the Super Bowl in 2019 and 2023."

San Francisco climbed from No. 9 to No. 4 after a win over the Colts. They will look to continue their climb this week.
