The San Francisco 49ers were knocked out of the postseason by the hated Seattle Seahawks last weekend. And while the loss stings it was explainable.

San Francisco was without key players in the game. Seattle exploited the shorthanded Niners squad. It wasn't pretty but it also may not be a sign of future playoff results.

So, what's next for the Niners? For starters, they can simply get healthy. And really it may end there. Certainly, you would have liked to see better fight from the team. Even so, the performance we saw last weekend wasn't anything like how a healthy San Francisco squad would have performed.

The 49ers next step is simply, flush the last game and get better. They'll look to do that over the offseason.
