Bears vs. Falcons Prediction

It's gameday and the Chicago Bears desperately need a win after last week's tough loss to the Green Bay Packers.  Unlike last week, though, the Bears are expected to start quarterback Caleb Williams in Week 6. That makes a huge difference in everything head coach Ben Johnson can do offensively. Williams' playmaking ability outside of structure against a Falcons defense that can get after the quarterback will be a key detail to watch.  D'Andre Swift will also have a pivotal role. The Falcons haven't given up many rushing yards this -- fifth fewest (401). However, former Bears offensive coordinator and current Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle may have shown how to generate positive yardage on the ground by attacking the edges of Atlanta's defense. The Ravens ran for 208 total yards and scored one touchdown in Baltimore's 30-23 overtime win in Week 5.  The Bears will want to replicate that success.  It could be a long day for the Bears' defense. The Bears are down defensive linemen Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo, and running back Bijan Robinson is the NFL's leading rusher. I expect Robinson to do some damage on the ground.  Wide receiver Drake London has 488 receiving yards, fourth most. The Bears' secondary was torched by quarterback Jordan Love and wide receiver Christian Watson last week. Can cornerback Jaylon Johnson hold up?  We'll find out.  We'll also see cornerback Kyler Gordon and defensive lineman Shemar Turner for the first time this season. Both are active off the PUP. They will have a limited sample size for this week, but the Bears will need everyone, regardless of playing time, to help stop this Falcons offense.  My prediction: Bears 30, Falcons 27
